We can help you with this very important dilemma. Craft beer has evolved into something of a phenomenon over the past ten years, and if you haven’t been paying attention or you’re just now getting to that magical age of 21, you’re missing out.
I know craft beer can be overwhelming. I mean, with beers such as Hazy IPAs, Pastry Stouts, Belgian styles, Czech styles, Kettle Sours, Wild Fermentation, and so much more, if I was new to the craft beer thing, I wouldn’t know where to start, either.
What is Your Purpose?
But, let me tell you this. First, put down that PBR or Bud or Miller or whatever “water” you’re drinking at the moment and ask yourself one question: Why am I drinking this?
If your answer is, “To get hammered,” keep on drinking your water and come on back when you’re ready to drink for flavor. Don’t get me wrong, everyone needs water, we’re just here for you when you want a little bit more.
If your answer is, “To hang out with friends while enjoying something tasty,” have we got something for you.
Your Customized Virtual Tasting Sessions
Before heading out to the craft breweries blindsided, knowing nothing about craft beer, start here, with your friends at Living a Stout Life. We’ll set you up a bit of knowledge on beer styles, beer glasses, and of course, the beer itself.
Whether you’re new to craft beer or not, join us for your very own personalized beer talk and craft beer tastings, where you’ll experience the flavors of craft beer through a different lens. We’ll sit down with you and your friends through a live, interactive Zoom call where we’ll laugh, chat, and get to know more about the craft beers you love, the ones you’ve never had before, and maybe a few you’ll learn to love.
This interactive tasting can be based off of your choice of beers, or ours, or both. We’ll show you how to properly stick out your pinky – not a chance – but we will talk how to’s, glasses, food pairings, beer trends, rumors, and more. We’ll keep you laughing, learning, and drinking the entire time.
Craft Beer Tastings 101
You and three other friends will get a personalized beer tasting how-to. This is not a class or a course. Yes, you will learn about craft beer, but you’ll do it in a way that feels more like hanging out with your friends who know something about beer.
What you get:
- Initial consult to determine your goals for your tasting session
- Four recommended beers or beer styles based off of your interests
- Due to many strange, different and not-making-sense liquor laws throughout every state, unfortunately we cannot ship beer to you. We will, however, assist you with where to go to purchase the beers you’ll need for your customized tasting session. (This is at your expense.)
- PDF Downloads of resources and references relating to your session
- Up to one hour of Zoom hang out time with your new friends at Living a Stout Life, learning about the beer, laughing, drinking, and realizing that craft beer is not as intimidating as it sounds.
The session starts with a total of up to four people. For each additional device added after the initial four people, it is an additional $30 (up to two people on one device). This allows for a maximum of eight people in your tasting group, ensuring that you get an intimate experience and a good basic understanding of the flavors of craft beer.

Food and Beer Pairing 101
Choose from a cheese and beer pairing, or a chocolate/dessert and beer pairing for this customized virtual session. You and three other friends will get a personalized food and beer pairing how-to. This is not a class or a course. Yes, you will learn about craft beer and pairing it with certain foods, but you’ll do it in a way that feels more like hanging out with your friends who know something about pairings.
We’ll talk with you first to determine your goals for your customized food and beer pairing get-together. From there, we’ll recommend the beer styles, the food types and then teach you what to put with what and how to taste it all. Yep, there are specific ways to taste food while drinking beer.
What you get:
- Initial consult to determine your goals for your pairing session
- Four recommended beers or beer styles based off of your interests
- Four recommended cheeses or chocolate/dessert styles to pair with your beer
- Due to many strange, different and not-making-sense liquor laws throughout every state, unfortunately we cannot ship beer to you. We will, however, assist you with where to go to purchase the beers you’ll need for your customized tasting session. (This is at your expense.)
