We consider ourselves pretty good at getting other people to open up about their stories, but The Virtual Campground turned the camera on us. Deb and Barry Benton coaxed us into telling our story about Living A Stout Life and building a business around our love of craft beer, travel, and adventure.
What is The Virtual Campground?
No, The Virtual Campground was not a response to the global health crisis. In fact, TVC has been around for several years.
Liz Wilcox created The Virtual Campground around her family’s move into full-time RVing. The website not only housed Liz’s blog, but became a community of like-minded travelers.
The Virtual Campground has also blossomed into a space for travel resources. There is an e-course on how to do a lot of your own RV maintenance. There is also a weekly show, TVC Live on YouTube, which features interesting folks in the RV space.
Looks like we now qualify as “interesting folks!” ????
Though Liz is still on board as part of The Virtual Campground team, she sold the site to our good friends Deb and Barry Benton in March of 2020. One of the first things they did (smartly) was to enlist Living a Stout Life for an episode of TVC Live.
What we talked about
April and I spoke with Deb and Barry not only about craft beer, but also what the shift to this lifestyle really means to us. They also tried to trip us up, and did on a couple occasions, with a round of craft beer trivia. Thanks Barry! ????
