Finding Culture and Community through Wine Lovers Travel

| | , ,

As a craft beer lover, would you consider a wine tour? How about if that wine tour was across the ocean? Say, in places like Croatia, Spain, or even Australia? Gail from Wine Lovers Travel is doing just that – combining her passion for wine and travel and bringing them together to create community.

Meet Gail from Wine Lovers Travel

If you’ve ever considered a group trip to experience a new place, and you want to experience the flavors of that place, Gail understands. That is exactly why she started what she calls her passion project. Which is now a successful tour company that brings people from all over the world together to explore new places, all while enjoying the wines and more of each region.

Gail, like many others, began her professional life in corporate sales dealing with software and technology. Lucrative profession? Yes? Satisfying? For Gail, not so much.

Knowing at a very young age that she wanted to travel, heading into the corporate world instead, this dream of traveling never left. So after years climbing the corporate ladder, she jumped to a different rung and paved the way for her to finally follow her passion. Along the way, she fell in love with wine.

And in 2019, Wine Lovers Travel was born. Then 2020 happened, and like everyone else on the planet, she had to pivot. But it might just have been that pivot that really got her excited about bringing people together over a beverage she loves, wine.

We get it. The beverage we love, beer, does the same for us. It’s simply the medium that brings people together. And doing that while traveling to explore where these beverages come from, that’s more icing on the cake.

It’s not about the wine (or the beer).

This is Gail’s story. Of following a passion. Of bringing people together. Of the importance of travel. Of the importance of culture. But really, it’s incentive for you to consider a wine tour, even if you’re a craft beer lover.

Because in the end, you’ll learn more about wine, drink craft beer along the way, but more importantly, you’ll learn that it’s really not about the craft beer (or the wine), it’s about the people.

Travel for the people, the locations, the culture, and make the beverage your second tier, and you’ll appreciate it no matter where you are even if it’s not up to expectations. Because not every wine will taste like it’s from Napa, nor will every beer taste like it’s from Germany.”

“Ken and April do a fantastic job of mixing the culture of beer and adventure into something akin to a fine barrel-aged sour. They are wise beyond their years. Loving this podcast and it will be on our weekly playlist for SURE!”
