Salida, Colorado: A True Mountain Town

Salida, Colorado, isn’t meant for wusses. And it ain’t meant for those that love to stay inside. It’s meant for those that get energized from Mother Nature. Those that love to work hard and play hard. And when you face plant on a board or dislocate your shoulder from a mountain bike fall, you get back up, dust yourself off, grab a beer, and do it all again. With a great brig grin on your face because you can.

Meet Jason and Nick from Tres Litros Beer Co in Salida

College roommates in Boulder, these two found each other again over a dream of opening a brewery. Done with city living, they found Salida, Colorado. This mountain town of just under 7,000 people already had three breweries in the surrounding region, but knowing the lifestyle of the people here, Nick and Jason knew it could handle another. And in the middle of the pandemic, Tres Litros was born.

So grab your three liters of beer and sit back (after a helluva day on the water or the mountains, of course) and enjoy our conversation with the two brilliant guys that decided Salida could handle another brewery. They, too, after all came here for the outdoor lifestyle and the beer that comes with it. They just now happen to be brewing that beer.

Join us as we chat mountain biking, beer, life balance, cool beer stories, building a beer building (a brewery, duh!), mountain living, and more. It’s always nice to know the people behind the beer you love.

“Ken and April do a fantastic job of mixing the culture of beer and adventure into something akin to a fine barrel-aged sour. They are wise beyond their years. Loving this podcast and it will be on our weekly playlist for SURE!”

Shout Outs:

Jason and Nick, you rocked it! We loved hanging out chatting about beer and all that Salida has to offer. You may be the new kids on the block, but you fit right in, so if nobody knows, nobody will ever know. And you know that feeling that you got when you were pouring beer at a music festival? That’s the feeling we get every time we get to sit down with people in the beer industry. We’re humbled, and we love being able to spread the word about this beverage that we all love so much. Cheers to all the cool things that come from hanging out around a pint of beer.
