Finding the best craft breweries is always challenging. It is doubly so in Baja California Sur. There is a mash-up of English and Spanish language that further complicates things. ???? Fear not! We did a deep dive into the best breweries, beer bars, and other places to drink good craft beer in the vibrant capital city of La Paz, BCS, Mexico.
???? HOT SPANISH LANGUAGE TIP: When searching for craft beer, you are looking for Cervecerías Artesanales (craft beer breweries) and Cerveza Artesanal (craft beer). Be forewarned that in Baja and Baja Sur you will often see the term cerveceria in the name of a restaurant or bar. Cerveceria is Spanish for brewery, but there are many non-breweries that use the term and don’t even serve craft beer.

This means they don’t have a taproom. Their beers are mostly available at some of the local restaurants, bars, and stores. So don’t try going to their locations.
