Covertly Cultivating Unique Craft Beer in Sioux Falls, SD

| | ,

The Sioux Falls craft beer scene forever changed when Stacey and Dan arrived into town for some covert operations – Covert Artisan Ales & Cellars, that is. This unique brewery in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is beginning to take root in this up and coming midwestern craft beer location. And by taking root we do mean by grabbing hold and sticking around, but what we really mean is that they are using these roots – and other local flora and natural ingredients – to brew their innovative and high quality craft beers. Covert ops, I’m telling’ ya!

Meet Stacey and Dan

Both Stacey and Dan come from military backgrounds, covert operations, in fact. Hence, the name of Covert and their colorful fox-like logo. Their beer careers, though, are only just beginning. And what a beginning it is. From former intel analysts to world travelers to now some of the most creative brewers (not to mention a blast to hang with), Stacey and Dan Berry aren’t just owners and brewers of Covert Artisan Ales & Cellars, they are the real deal when it comes to beer.

This is their story of resilience both in their past and present moments. You’ll hear stories of Stacey’s travels just after 9/11 and how the world reacted to her in a foreign country at that time and then how she reacted to the world.

You’ll hear stories of Dan’s quest to brew the beers they both love and their further quest to get the midwest on board with beers that aren’t your typical lagers. And throughout all of the stories, their love of beer and passion for life will resonate within you. And if not, it will inspire you to at least get off the comfort couch and drool along with us while we drink and talk our way through Covert’s inventory of exceptionally and uniquely brewed beverages.
