Cedar City Brewing Co: Brewing Up Classics and Community

| | , ,

Welcome to Lebanon, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville, where you’ll find one of Tennessee’s newest breweries in an historical town square. Where, after challenges in the changing music industry and the somewhat dull nature of IT work, you’ll find a brewer excited about what Cedar City Brewing Company is bringing to the craft beer scene.

We have partnered up with Malteurop Malting Company (MMC) to highlight some phenomenal craft breweries for American Craft Beer Week, May 15-21, 2023. Whether it’s ACBW or just any other Wednesday, be sure to celebrate the breweries that you love – no matter the day of the week!

Meet Sean Jewett from Cedar City Brewing Company

Cedar City is the brewery, but Sean is the artist behind it as its Head Brewer. With a background in music and IT, Sean Jewett comes to brewing with an artistic yet scientific stance. After a shift in the music industry and a lack of excitement and artistry in IT Sean found the perfect fit in brewing beer.

Bringing the classics to small town Tennessee, Sean believes beer should be approachable and drinkable for everyone. Not everything has to shift and change and be unique. There’s always someone doing that. Sean strives to make classic beers that are great companions for the conversations had while drinking them.

That’s one of the reasons he switched from IT to beer – the conversations, connections, and community that surrounds it.

“My Mac users never call me, the Windows users are the bane of my existence, but at the end of a hard day at the brewery there’s still a beer waiting for you.”

– Sean Jewett, Head Brewer at Cedar City Brewing Co

Classic Beers, Community, Yeast, and Music

Join us as we chat with Sean about Cedar City, his journey through ever-changing industries and finding his passion in beer. We also chat music, food, and delve a little deep into the world of yeast. There’s always something brewing when it comes to conversations centered around beer.

Oh, and being so close to Nashville, we can’t resist giving you a bit of a rundown on the Craft Brewers Conference that just happened there and Nashville’s music and craft beer scene. It’s a rockin’ – or should we say boot-stompin’ – good time!
